Do Undead (apart from the Whitehooves) that start in the Embers campaign have a Cloak of Deception? Or don't they need it? Maybe it is only needed (and functional) in the first campaign.

Embers actually creates a new meta-race for undead, 'MinotaurUndead (this is necessary because normal Undead start condition can't be over-ridden)', but the name displayed is merely 'Undead'. So all of the undead that this addon adds to the Embers campaign are put into the MinotaurUndead category, which is allied with Kruk Pride (meaning no cloak nonsense is necessary).

I believe CoD works by increasing your reputation with the Allied Kingdoms, which would not work in Embers. I mean, it would work, but it would make everyone allied with the Kruk hate you, presumably.

v1.2.2 aka I forgot whether I had already changed the version number, so I went up by two, apparently.

Bugs:

Fixed Bulkling (the definition was not complete :oops: )

Compatability:

Added Xorn, Troll, Abomination, and Dreamelf, from their respective addons, and Forsaken, Manawraith, Chronophage, Ancient, Hellforged and Plaguetouched (whew...) Vampire Subraces from astralInferno's Inferno Race Pack.

Increased weight to 200000, for Dreamelf compatibility... yeah.

Most of these were requested by a Steam user, and I threw Dreamelf in because I want to check it out, and AoA is so, so long.

Thanks for including Xorn. Been wanting to make a sawbutcher xorn (quad-saw!) for a while but, yeah, AoA is long.

Judging from this earlier thread, I suspect Meatplanter is referring to the old Runic Golem race/class that's accidentally exposed by Ignore Race/Class Locks. I fear I've created a monster… :shock:

Sure, I can do that.

How much do you want it to be the like the AoA experience? It appears that Runic Golems are assigned the Undead faction, but don't start in the Undead starter zone, meaning they would have no access to the Cloak of Deception and the factions which would normally be friendly will be hostile. For the standard undead I use some minor hackery to bypass the faction issue, since they would have the Cloak in AoA. I could do the same here, but I don't know if that's what you are looking for or not. I assume anyone looking to play this race is going for challenge run of sorts, but since you are the one asking, I'll do whichever you'd prefer.

Honestly, I think that because of the lack of escorts, not having access to both generic trees (as they can only be obtained by talking with NPCs) and artifact shop would make the game... fruitless.

So using the same trick as with other undead is probably unavoidable.

Ran into a couple of snags. I can make it work, but it will require some messy hackery. I'm going to be out of town for a few days, so it will be a little while until I can get it updated.

Added support for Zizzo's Monster, a.k.a. Runic Golem, with a few adjustments:

Updated starting runes to match other arcane races (replaced Phase Door with Heat Beam and added Phase Door to the inventory).
Updated inscription restrictions to match other arcane races (instead of only allowing runes, it instead restricts infusions, allowing injectors and generators to be used).
No longer has an enforced 'undead' faction. Assigned the Kruk Pride faction, as with other non-undead races.
