Exploiting Drem

The signature Drem ability is Frenzy: for three turns, the first time you use a class ability its cooldown is not triggered. Does not apply to inscriptions, effects which don't take a turn, and abilities with fixed cooldowns.

So... what benefits absurdly when double-cast? I suspect Drem will be very popular with the Paradox Mages going forward since double-casting Attenuate is basically their dream.

Are there other abilities that stack like Attenuate in exciting ways? Does double-casting Expose Weakness give you twice the stacks, or are you just overwriting your existing stacks with the new ones? Does Dwarven Split give you four halves? Do the Defiler disease-based abilities suddenly get even better if you can double-cast them?

In the absence of exciting stacking, which abilities (presumably ones with long cooldowns) are so amazing that being able to use twice in the normal cooldown gets to "ridiculously good"?

On the Paradox Mage front, Cease to Exist would seem to be a strong choice, in either order (Frenzying Cease or Ceasing Frenzy).

If it works on Assume Form, and I can't see why it wouldn't as written, a Possessor who can leave a body and immediately jump into a new one without a cooldown seems like it might have some applications.

This is not for Adventurer without addons IIRC, but Drem can be Stone Wardens. This means Elemental Shift and all related talents like Mergeback are extremely abusable. Some summoner talents (and stuff like Chronomancy clones I think) would also be easily abusable along with something like Detonate, especially since you have your own summon.

Oh, and Blinding Speed if you can handle the Stamina somehow.

Confirmed this works for Assume Form, which is a solid quality of life upgrade for the Possessor.

Also, Frenzy should work extremely well with Projection Shenanigans - e.g. Projection, Frenzy, Psionic Minion, Psionic Minion.

Edit: In light experimentation, Possessor can also double up on class skills learned from their hosts, but not their racial skills (it was unclear to me whether it varied based upon the skill or whether Possessor's host slots automatically counted as class skills for the Possessor). Still haven't tested with the Summon skill that some hosts have (the one balanced by Summoning Destabilization), that would be another very powerful skill to double on.

Finally, Psychic Crush x2, Unleashed Mind x2 puts out significant melee damage AND allows for extremely long duration psychic images.

It works with Forgery of Haze, but I don't consider it an exploit.

If Forgery of Haze hooks into some generic mob AI and that AI gets more intelligent (e.g., stops casting rank 1 talents when it has so many rank 5 talents to choose from), then this combo might become a little overpowered. Probably still not to the point where it's exploitative.

I suspect there are some good combos with Frenzy + Suspend + lots of global or casting speed, although Invigorate does not appear to double the cooldown rate while Suspending.

Frenzy -> Cease to Exist doesn't remove the cooldown from Cease. Cease -> Frenzy works fine.

Also worth noting that Timeless does not increase Frenzy's duration, if you're a Possessor in a Shalore body.

I put this in the Psyshot guide, but Drem Psyshots can maintain 100% uptime on a mix of From Below It Devours and Solidify Air. Pretty dang strong control.
