functionality issues keyboard and mouse

First I have the steam edition of the game.

1) I have no mouse cursor and I need to figure out how to incorporate the use of the mouse with the game (if I can).

2) I can't seem to be able to figure out how to navigate the option tabs using the keyboard (since I can't seem to get a mouse cursor).

Any suggestions or guidance with the above would be most helpful.

Tabs usually navigate with tab/shift tab.
As for the mouse, hum weird. Go to the video options and disable/enable the Mouse Cursor option please
