@McAllister
Took note. It's strange-- This error seems to occur on and off between different people, but never for myself. I wonder if it has something to do with display settings and such...?

Re: Odyssey of The Summoner: Spoiler and Discussion
So, this sounds like a crazy question, but can someone confirm for me that the Feral Hydra talents actually do anything? I decided to play a less breath-focused Hydra, got it up to level 10, and I don't think I've observed any Feral Hydra talents dazing, pulling, pushing, strangling, or doing any damage, whether I had gems in my Feral Head's mouths or not.
Re: Odyssey of The Summoner: Spoiler and Discussion
I believe I have seen them work in the past, but their damage was so useless that I stopped using them.

I think those talents make accuracy checks, so you'll want to pump some DEX.McAllister wrote:So, this sounds like a crazy question, but can someone confirm for me that the Feral Hydra talents actually do anything? Or just take the natural combat skill that gives accuracy.

Re: Odyssey of The Summoner: Spoiler and Discussion
I did take the Natural Combat skill for accuracy. Should the combat log show that I'm missing, if that's what's happening?
Re: Odyssey of The Summoner: Spoiler and Discussion
I think so, but I haven’t been on much as of late.

Re: Odyssey of The Summoner: Spoiler and Discussion
So, for the War Hound unlock, I need to get both reflections finished, which means gathering a bunch of randomly spawning rare artifacts. Uh... Is there something I missed? This seems near impossible.
Edit: Bug report: So if you auto-explore into one of the legends as a war hound, the game freezes instead of displaying the text.

Re: Odyssey of The Summoner: Spoiler and Discussion
So not exactly a BUG, but something rather silly. In the special battle where you get the summoner's orb, you can push your opponent into the water and drown them pretty easily if they are a fire drake (I don't know the others). You may want to give them water breathing or something. It was a little silly. But I am trying less-OP Fire Drake (also known as no scales boost. I went breath control, even though I don't know if it is good, since it is a FIRE Drake.

Since the update, accuracy is not guaranteed. Please tell me if you see anything incorrect!
Note: This is more spoilery than anything else here. This is a fairly full list of secret effects and unlocks. If you want to find these yourself, or just want small hints, don't read this.
Known Unlocks, Prodigies, and other Special Effects:
Progidies:
- Hydra: 50 Cunning and 1 Prodigy Point and finding a very rare dialog option in the Clasp menu: Hat Trick - Allows the Hydra to clasp Necklaces and Headgear.
- Drakeling: Inspecting or Picking up a Crown item while having 3 Drakelings (at least one with its "Ultimate" trait), or dying with a prodigy point and a drakeling with an Ultimate Trait: Legacy - Crowns can be clasped normally, and when you die, you become one of your drakelings who has an ultimate trait. You can make them an adult with a lot more power by wearing a crown and talking to the summoner.
- Ritch: 50 Cunning and 1 Prodigy Point and using the Killing Blade effect on a Bow (For the first attempt, use a: Bowstring (Bow), Improvise (I used a helmet, so...), Jewelry, and a Belt.): Death from Above - Allows you to craft bow Impermanence Weapons (Requires one metal item, one belt, one piece of jewelry, and a bow) using Death from Above and unlocks shoot talent.
- War Hound: Getting 20 skill points into howls and using a howl (effect triggers randomly after 20 total howls): Megahowl - Gives you the skill Megahowl, which does this: The soundwave is a (1600)% speed, piercing projectile that loses (100)% speed each time it moves or collides into something (dissipating when the speed becomes less than 100%).Targets struck will receive (damage), become dazed, and get knocked back 1 tile in the same direction the projectile is travelling, such that they will be dragged with the projectile until it expires or they bump into something solid. The damage scales with your physical and mind power.
- Minotaur: Inflict curses (1/5 chance) while you have a prodigy point - Ancient Curse: Gives a skill that does the following: "Damage that one target receives is felt by the other for 10 turns... However, as it is only pain, the target's life can only be reduced to no less than 1."
Class Unlock:
- Winning the Game as an Avatar: Unlock the Therian class for non-summons AND summons that has ALL avatar skills.
Avatar Class Specific Unlocks:
- Fire Drake: Become coronated as Ghryza (Enghryza Drakeling): Unlock the "Become Enghryza, The Broodmother" option for Fire Drake. In this mode, you lose the Heatstroke and Lumbering Beast trees, but get 1.5x in Dragon Brood and Scales and 1.3x in Dragon Army and Dissension (both locked), and Snarling Beast (unlocked). Other trees at 1.0x (except Fire Drake Aspect, at .8x. You start as gargantuan.
- Hydra: Get all three hydra mutations on one character (Crystal Focus, Serpent's Glare, Eye of the Wyrm): Customizable Heads option for Hydra. Starts you with all head options, but you can only have three. No reflections, I believe, but if you don't have at least one of the original head types, you will suffer from the headless effect constantly.
- Ritch: Craft a weapon with the Bladed Rift (Ak'Gishil's drop): Unlock permanent blade for Ritch. Start with the unbreakable Bladed Rift weapon, but you cannot make other weapons.
- War Hound: Finish both reflections (Eventually, many pack members should trigger it): Unlock Hunting Pack, which grants ALL the summoning items at the start of the game and DRASTICALLY changes your talent trees. Particularly, it allows you to learn "Dreaming Beast" and "Flickering Beast" talents (which is normally impossible). Finally, it gives you "Call Hunting Pack", which allows you to summon ALL your pack members at once on an increasing cooldown (much like "summoning destabilization").
- Minotaur: Finish both reflections: Unlock All-Natural, which disables weapons, but unlocks some trees. It may have other upsides, but I haven't used it.
Visual:
- Corrupting the Sandworm Queen's Heart and using it: Unlock the "Visual:Blighted" option for all Avatars (under Customize tab) and unlock the Blighted Start for the Avatar class you were playing as. AND causes the current character to hit blight threshold (If they are blighted already, they get a bonus to blight skills (I don't remember by how much)).
- Consuming the Oozing Heart: Unlock the "Visual: Evolved" (Antimagic) in the customize tab for all avatars and gives the Decontaminate skill.
- Start an Avatar Game: rexorcorum graphics under Customize tab. Only works for Hydra, Mantis, and Fire Drake.
Use Effects (NOT Consume):
- Corrupted Heart of The Sandworm Queen (All):(also an unlock) Causes the character to hit blight threshold (If they are blighted already, they get a bonus to blight skills (I don't remember by how much)).

- Tooth of the Mouth: Gives a new natural attack, Tooth of the Mouth.
- Primal Infusion: Gain 5 Wildness

- Tree of Life: Gives Soothing Shell, which heals you, allies, and enemies and can pacify enemies.
- Rune of the Rift: Temporal Reprieves you for three turns, and gives you the induce anomaly talent. (This talent may be able to give you a special lore if you have the Embers of Rage addon rarely (The Wei... races lore), it may or may not be patched).
Clasped:
- Serpent's Glare (Drakeling, possibly others. Not Hydra): When clasping, after a while, you will start feeling sick. You then gain Spit Poison for a while, but if you do not use it, you get poisoned.
- Grand Caller (I suspect Drakeling, unsure): Gives a talent with a name like Enrage. Haven't seen it myself, but multiple people have mentioned it.
- Crystal Shard (All): Can be clasped.
Other
- Saving Melinda: Cannot be romanced. Use blue option when Summoner bothers you after talking to Melinda to get either a rank in Summoner's Bond (Listening to Summoner) or Summoner's Disparity (Ignoring Summoner)
- Mnemonic: ??? (Not spoiling this one)
- Destroying the Zigur with the Grand Corrupter: Get the Blighted: Seething tree locked at 1.00x.
- Killing the Grand Corrupter after Destroying the Zigur with them: Seething tree improved/unlocked.

- Dragon Helm of Kroltar: Starts a reflection when examined? Collected? Unsure.

Hydra: I don't know if they are consumed or clasped right now.

- Eskatin's Ultimatum: Permanent -3 Willpower.
- Corpsebow: -20% disease resist, +10% Nature resist
- Choker of Dread: Permanent Undead telepathy, -5 Willpower.
War Hound Recruits:
Tricked refers to Belie/the Blighted trick effect
- Calicule: If tricked, then recruit success is guaranteed. Can spawn randomly when you enter a floor or when Howl at the Moon is used. I am not sure of special conditions for War Hound, but spawns if they are the only wolf and canine on the floor.
- The Withering Thing: If tricked, say the 1st answer, then the second, then the second. Recruiting them will get you a new howl, -10 luck (on an item that you can't drop), and using that howl or howl at the moon will summon them to aid you. If War Hound, this variant of the Heart of the Gloom is guaranteed.
- Turigund: CANNOT be gotten in the same game as Rungof. If you have no artifacts, can be recruited. Otherwise, if you have >5, you get information needed to recruit Rungof. To recruit (or get info) take the Saved: Cunning option. Gives an item that summons them. Guaranteed spawn for War Hound in Golem Graveyard.
- Rungof: If defeated after information is gained from Turigund (Turigund CANNOT be recruited in the same game), you can take Rungof's Claw instead of killing them. If Rungof's Claw is used, can be summoned, and can be recruited by taking the second choice. This will get you a special howl, which will summon them (Howl at the Moon probably will too).
- Dokatt: If tricked, can be recruited by telling them they should sound like this, and then using any howl besides the basic howl. If you only have the basic howl, this will fail. You learn a howl, and using it or Howl at the Moon will summon them. Guaranteed spawn for War Hound in the Ruined Dungeon if has not spawned yet.
- Raals: Can be found rarely in certain conditions. As War Hound, can be found by being put to sleep, with increased odds as life lowers. Recruit success guaranteed after that, spawns when put to sleep.
- Zuuls: Recruiting them requires Raals in your party and then tricking them. Cannot be recruited otherwise (although has a neat gimmick that you might notice). Will spawn for War Hound when you generate an anomaly while Temporal Hounds is active.
Unknown/Use Type Unknown:
- Wyrm Bile (Unknown Use?, Hydra): Effect unknown.
- Fiery Choker: If you know the talent category "Ego/Dragon, improves "Ego/Dragon" by x0.1, +20% Cold Resistance, -20% Cold Damage. The Fiery Choker is a rare drop from Fyrk, the Faeros guard at Charred Scar (Portal from Var'Eyal in Eruan) and occasionally elsewhere.
- River’s Fury (Clasped): Can be clasped under unknown conditions (Thank you Ravenscroft!)
Drakelings (Consume effects for Fire Drake only, Drakelings become next drakeling spawned):
Rebirth Set
- Destala's Scales: Astala, a weird loving female, who prefers Predation and Elusiveness. Bonus skills: Acidic Spray 5, Dissolve 4, and Corrosive Breath 2.
- Storm Fury: Velkes, a proud loving male, who prefers Elusiveness and Rabbit's Foot. Bonus skills: Lightning Breath 5, Tornado 4, and Static Field 2.
- Sandworm Queen's Heart (CONSUME): Eelkas, a proud loving female, who prefers Savage Strength and Nature Hardened. Bonus skills: Growing Bones 10, (Possibly something called Iron Heart? 5. Uncertain. Need to test.), Swallow 5, Quake 4, and Sand Breath 2.
- Corrupted Sandworm Queen's Heart (CONSUME): Eelkas, a blighted weird loving female, who prefers Savage Strength, Nature Hardened, and Splendor. Bonus Skills: Growing Bones 10, Rotten Core 5, Swallow 5, Night Hex 4, and Sand Breath 2.
- Wyrm Bile (CONSUME): Maldox, a blighted HATING feral male who prefers to learn Savage Strength, Nature Hardened, and Splendour. Bonus Skills: Growing Bones 10, Rotten Core 5, Transfusion 5, Drain 4, and Bloody Breath 2.
Prismatic Trio: (Did someone say Ureslak?)
- Ureslak's Molted Scales: Rukles, a proud hating male who prefers to learn Extrasensory, Tolerance, and Splendor. Bonus Skills: Wyrmic Guild 5, Prismatic Slash 4, and Venemous Breath 2.
- Chromatic Harness: Lukres, a proud hating male who prefers to learn Extrasensory, Tolerance, and Splendor. Bonus Skills: Wyrmic Guild 5, Prismatic Slash 2, and Venemous Breath 4.
- Ureslak's Femur: Urlkes, a noble FULL hating male who prefers to learn Extrasensory, Tolerance, and Splendor. Bonus Skills: Wyrmic Guild 5, Chromatic Fury 4, and Venemous Breath 2.
Cameo Trio:
- Wyrmbreath: Kanros, a breath using angry hating male. They are apparently very loud? They prefer to learn Keen Awareness and Growing Bones. Bonus Skills: Bellowing Roar 4, Devouring Flame 5, Fire Breath 2.
- Gaping Maw: Tronos, a claw using feral hating male who prefers to learn Savage Strength and Nature Hardened. Bonus Skills: Icy Claw 5, Icy Skin 4, Icy Breath 2.
- Dragonskull Helm: Anklos, a blighted wing using smart hating male who prefers to learn Predation, Extrasensory, and Splendor. Bonus Skills: Fearscape Blaze 5, Shadow Flare 4, Abyssal Flames 2.
If you start in arena, you get these drakelings.
Omniscient "Trio": (Yes, there is only one listed.)
- Tome of Dragoneering: Ghryza, an all skill using special (read below) noble female with no preferences. Bonus Skills: Commanding Roar 5, Terrorizing Roar 4, Titanic Roar 2.
Special: If you get "permission" before reading the book (go to the special page in the Tome of Dragoneering. I believe you need a prodigy point. If special dialogue triggers, you have permission), they will be loving and intelligent. Otherwise, they will be hating and low intelligence. Either way, if you make nice dialogue choices, dependence will increase, and if you make mean choices, dependence will go down.
It occurs to me that Raals and Zuuls names are mirroring. With all the dialogue between them, I suppose it fits.
Things that are NOT usable of note:
Both Final Boss Drops of ToME
Atamathon's Ruby Eye
Goedalath Rock
Shifting Boots
Say if you know any others.

Re: Odyssey of The Summoner: Spoiler and Discussion
One thing you missed, sometimes (and it does appear to be "sometimes", perhaps size-restricted?) you are able to Clasp River's Fury, the trident. Now, given the summoned frozen tree isn't in the game, that much bonus cold damage isn't game-breaking, but it's something of note, at least.

Added under the unknown section (since use requirements are unknown). Thank you.

Finished yet another update to my list. It now lists War Hound recruits too. Although I know little about Zuuls, because of that glitch... Well, c'est la vie. Off to cheat the unlock for Hunting Pack, since it is near impossible to find it, since you need a bunch of random artifact drops.

Bug report: If you get antimagic debuff after the end of the game, there is nobody to talk to to fix it, since the summoner is gone. This means guaranteed death.

@Kamani LOL That's quite the issue!
Probably won't be fixed, but just as a warning: If you try and equip any crafted artifact blade as Ritch on the Linux client, the game freezes and has to be killed. I'm 90% sure that this doesn't have anything to do with other addons. I'm certain that this happens without any other addons/unusual expansions enabled for the starting Rift Blade (Ritch's alt start unlock) and I know that it happens with any bladed artifact weapon with a few other addons enabled (Zomnibus pack, Nekarcos QoL #1, Verbose Enemies). I haven't put in the time to get an artifact blade on a no-addon run yet, though, but I'm pretty sure it'd freeze the game as usual.
Tl;DR: Don't use unique weapons on Ritch on the Linux client!
