ster wrote:again; your build uses antimagic so by definition it is complete garbage
Ah yes, and because of that literally every other point is also garbage?
And you know what's good? Two tridents AND the benefits of a mind star! WOW! Think of the possibilities: a bunch of +phys damage and penetration, +healing mod or insane life leech with that life leech ring.
trident of the tides isn't that good dude, and you're not getting anything better
e: should i go into detail about how bad your build is? antimagic is far from the only mistake

<Sheila> and ster, i do agree with you on most things game-related, but do try to not be such an ass!

Double mindstar means you can use leaves tide and nature's equilibrium
Why would i go with trident + mindstar? I'd lose a fuckton of survivability and mindpower so the effects i want from my skills actually get applied
At the point you get naloren you have more than enough damage to destroy anything in the game, why would i want to get more damage?
This is also debatable, my mindstars were at +400 tooltip damage, on top of boosting my categories, giving me life leech, and like 90% crit multi combined
With this character i cleared half sludgenest with no need to stairscum, had to get out of there when i just couldn't kill them faster than they respawned (mobs were level +170 already)

Being able to wield Naloren, another trident and a mindstar is just insane; and you greatly benefit from the improved infusions as well.
Replacing a mindstar for a trident should increase your damage per turn by more than 30% if you get one with half-decent egos.
Now, you might start wondering if going mind blades is even worth it. That is precisely why I excluded that from my build. The benefits are not worth those generics.
Dual wielding mind blades works, but it's by no means optimal once you get Naloren.
This is by far my biggest critique of this build. I would literally spell out every single difference between this build and mine if I mentioned all of them.
And once again, this works, but it is not optimal.
Let's see if you can still finish Insane with this when the Augmentation bug, which I assume you heavily abused, gets fixed.
I recently won insane with a mindstar mindslayer and it's definitely one of the strongest char I've ever played (I have 6-7 insane wins with PM, TW, doomed, sun paladin). You still get insane damage because augumentation has amazing sinergy with PES anyway, assuming you get decent gear. There's really no need to exploit bugs to win.
Going mindstars gives you leaves tide, a good healing skill, mindpower (!) and huge damage, what more do you want?
Yeah snapshotting is broken, but i can't even count the amount of times i got augmentation dispelled and didn't even notice till much later, i played without it lots of times and didn't even care setting it up again

Ogrewielding would neuter parts of the build, also naloren really is the only good lategame exotic weapon in the game due to all the shit it gets, otherwise you're stuck with trident of the tides which while good, is definitely not nearly as good as using psiblades which give you a tremendous amount of survivability while also beefing up your pyro shit and making sure it can actually land (hence why ogrewielding would hurt it).
The fact that he beat the game in a relatively short amount of time kinda shows how good the build it is.
Don't talk to me or my build ever again. http://te4.org/characters/208724/tome/f ... 670fd932a7 No snapshotting, won in 11 hours with ease. Can't be bothered to kill superbosses but fiery salve basically neuters linaniil and most of atamathon anyway.
Not quite the optimal build but tinker cornac will be the best way to go in 1.5 so i messed around with them here. Superpower is definitely better than naloren though lol even if sawrd didn't exist. Blood of life got used in old forest because >t2s hardest part of the game and i don't have anything else to say that wasn't described here (oh, i guess it's worth mentioning that cat order was kinetic -> thermal -> tinkers -> insc)

I wonder if you wouldn't get more overall damage by taking Superpower instead of Naloren. The focus weapon would do less damage, but you'd be getting more damage on your mindstars and more mindpower.

If one was going for role-playing/keeping things ultra canon, would a Yeek version of this build be viable on Normal? Or would the lack of HP be a fatal flaw?
Sure? Yeek HP penalty doesn't really matter much on (at the absolute least) normal, and the other stuff it brings to the table is sexy enough they can get through without that much trouble.
