Alright, insane win is here :)

Guide will now be reviewed shortly(-ish), expect a few changes ;)

Just a quick note for now : if you've finished dreadfell, you'll probably have no reason to die for the rest of the game. Seriously, the east was insanely easy and of all my tries I'd say 90% died in T2 (forest and nur biggest killer by far). Middle game still is demo worst moment.
Congrats! Yeah, insane T2s are a killer on pretty much every class especially old forest to the point i'd put forest/daikara off till after dreadfell haha. Good to see that this will be updated since it inspired me to play demo iirc (please dont make the guide i just made obsolete)

Any particular shield egos that stand out for a demonologist?

Earthen Fury (or something?), the one that procs bonus damage equal to your armor stat when you attack.

Earthen fury and impervious (gives armor and lots of block = stronger osmosis shield). If you get a good Thorny Skin totem you can easily pull ~400-500 armor which makes earthen fury procs really strong.

Like you, I was feeling the lost stamina. Demonologists aren't a wil class, but their fatigue is high and their talents are expensive. Especially the stam ones. It was the one thing that put a kink in the class for me. Finally, out of desperation, I opened up the doom covenant tree which initially looked bad on paper to me too.

Then I realized I love it.The way I got it to be awesome is by using instant damage abilities, stuff like acid wave runes. That way you just do the blood sacrifice once, use your acid waves, use your melee attack or something similar to cap it off, and you'll end up with multiple stacks of dark reign right off the bat. After that, you're essentially the energizer bunny when it comes to stam and vim. (In principle, you can also use darkfire to feed your dark reign.)

It's so good that even if I am choosing between doom covenant and spellblaze, I'll take covenant.

Hi , is this guide still relevant , i mean up to date?
I started to play Demo on Nightmare, and have trouble with managing stamina levels.
Is talent Combat veteran worth to invest points into ?

Yes and yes.

I will update the guide once 1.6 hit, it's true I have barely changed anything for 1.5 so I didn't put it in the topic but it's up to date anyway.
Stamina management is the only annoying thing on demo even though it doesn't matter too much in the end, so yeah feel free to invest in quick recovery ;)

They actually didn't have that tree at first and it's funny how just 1-2 points in it really made them feel a lot less frustrating.

I actually did that on my first winner, heh ^^
To be fair, once you get ICCtW you have a lot less stamina problem already, quick recovery is mostly there for the early game.

The Black Core is really nice to have as a Demo. I got one in The Searing Halls and it saved me from early game mistakes. Even better, you can go 1/1/1/0 in Black Magic if you want thanks to the talent mastery. You're able to stack enough Bleak Outcome for Stripped Life that way. Wretchling and Fire Imp seeds in your mainhand are the keys to this in the early game, especially if you're using Osmosis Shield a lot.

Black core is awesome, i wear it until very late so often.
I don't have vim problem/need for spellpower though, so i don't see the point of black magic, even if i only needed 1 in bleak outcome
