Small QoL improvement for Last Hope Combat Training

#1 Post by Mel »

So, any character can get Combat Training in Last Hope for a few coins. Except that half the classes already have it unlocked, the others only need to unlock it once, and having to go through the topic selection dialog everytime you want to buy weapons or armor gets annoying fast. Adding to Last Hope a "merchant door" that only does the training thing, and then removing it from the regular shops, so that we can access their inventory with a single move, like most shops in the game, would be a (dark)godsend.

Agreed, this is pretty silly. Is there any reason to not just baseline this talent tree on all characters? Its a fairly important one and the only people that don't go buy it right away are newbies that don't know any better.

Thematically, it makes sense that some people wouldn't just KNOW how to operate armor and weaponry (in fact, the Paradox Mage explicitly says in the flavor text that they don't) - but even so, I'd just give them the tree unlocked with no points in it. It's really a basic character necessity, nobody is going to not buy it, and even if you don't know how to wear armor or swing a sword, you do it long enough and for a living, you're going to pick up on something.

tl;dr I agree with Shibari.
