Think of it this way: You can use those 2 extra category points to unlock/improve other categories. All you have to do is be more careful about losing your heads. :D

:) Fair enough.

In other news, I think blighted minotaur's early game will be unpleasant. It gains Vim based on 3% of the damage it takes, and that means you basically get none early games. Probably better as enemy damage gets higher, but until then...

Seems like the best thing to do if you want to Blighted Start is to not use the category until later, likely taking Inner Animal first instead of blighted.

I got a Spectral Blade as a Ritch. I tried to turn it into an impermanent weapon and got a little chat pop-up about how there wasn't much to whittle down... and that was it. That blade was in my inventory still, unchanged. If I tried to shape it again, it would say 'Crafting begins...' and nothing would happen.

I'm guessing there's a bug there? Or did I miss something?

That's definitely a bug-- Well, an "oversight" really!

When you get a "special result" via crafting, it cancels the crafting to do the special event instead. However, the "Spectral Blade" event ONLY turns the object into a single-handed weapon. This is intended so that it would convert without getting any penalties-- But I didn't really consider that the crafting wouldn't even happen in the first place BECAUSE an event was triggering... Whoops. :lol:

Anywho, I fixed it now-- And gave it a nice buff too as a consequence: It will craft INSTANTLY, meaning you can use it as a desperation weapon if you somehow run out of blades in a bad situation.

I remember reading about special dialogue for using Pick Up Scent on the Summoner. Since this doesn't occur, is this planned, or am I just misremembering?

Nope, nothing like that. Perhaps you read my note about scenting the summoning orbs-- Which was only a thought.

Oh, Calicule's coat is counted as an orange item, not a yellow item. Not sure if this is intentional. Also, why a robe for a bunch of classes who largely cannot wear robes?

Oh, okay. I figured it was always generated the same, since a coat wouldn’t make a good most items.

It's always a coat. However, you're presuming ONLY avatars will ever be able to fight Calicule. "Myths of Maj'Eyal" will make them available to any character.

With how Bay of the Night scales (the howl for Blighted War Hound, if I had the name wrong), you can get to calling in level 65 monsters at double damage when you are level 19. Not actually a complaint, just something funny I found.
