Crash during startup/cant use Embers of rage DLC

Hi,

New to the boards so bear with me please,

Everytime I try and start a new game after launching t he game with steam I get the same error msg and the game shunts me back to the front end.(error log attached)

However, if I launch the game without steam it works fine? Also I cannot select embers of rage...

Please can a wiser head advise me on this.
