How do multiple incoming damage cap skills stack?

How do multiple incoming damage cap skills stack?
If I were, say, a Ghoul Possessor in a Sun Paladin Body and had Ghoul skill (capping incoming damage at 50% of max life), Force Shield (capping incoming damage at 76% max life), and active Suncloak (capping incoming damage at 66% max life), how would these work together? Most effective wins, stacking, what?

Would be most effective wins, I expect.
My feedback meter decays into coding. Give me feedback and I make mods.

Forcefield works first. After that, it's not clear, but my reading of the code is that only one of ghoul or suncloak would apply, probably the one that most recently set/adjusted the value.
I"m working hard on an addon to help me understand what's happening with all the intricacies of damage reduction, and this particular question still eludes me.

Very cool.
I'd also like to know how these effects manifest and in what order - if you had, say, 100 hitpoints, a 50% max life damage cap, and a 100 point shield, and got hit for 100 damage, what would the result be? Seems like a very low max health could be advantageous under some interpretations of this.

They manifest in the order that I have listed them in the topic, except whereI put in a note saying the order is uncertain.Snarvid wrote:Very cool.

for max life damage cap, you would have to tell me what the reduction is. let's say it was 20%. In that case, the damage is reduced first to 80 and then the shield soaks up all 80 and so you take no damage and your shield is 20.
low max health is never an advanatage imo in tome. the more life the better.

Sorry. I had a couple thoughts in my head and didn't manage them well. I see shield runes present in the progression now before the max life cap skills, that was the thought (if the cap skills came before you could say, have 10 max health and a 1000 point shield and your shield could take a huge beating due to the cap, but in the order it's in that's a non-starter).

oops - you are right! So, shield will soak up all 100 health in the scenario above. the max cap won't applySnarvid wrote:Sorry. I had a couple thoughts in my head and didn't manage them well.
