It's rather strange, the prides dont have much more NPCs than other levels. Hum.
What about Briargh's Lair ?

Pretty much exactly what tabs said. I think High Peak used to have issues sometimes, but I haven't run into any since 1.5. Dreadfell has never been a problem for me.
Oh, Reknor can also be very laggy too.

Hummm oh: does the slowness go away progressively as mobs die?
I mean once you cleared a level of all mobs, but you are still on the level, is the lag still present ?

A little, yes. But not close to completely

It feels faster once the monsters are gone, but whether that's because it's actually faster or just less noticeable because I'm not trying to perform lots of combat actions I couldn't say.

After trying a few saves, it seems none of them are having issues now, which is weird because they were present back when I actually played on them.
So to me it seems to be more a session related problem, though for some reason restarting the game doesn't fix it while not having played a save in a while does.

Not doubting you but there must be something else at play there, savefiles dont magically restore themselves while unused (sadly;) )

As someone who has played a lot on versions with less floors of the east dungeons I can say it feels a lot better and is less of a slog.
Whatever the end solution is, if the area sizes will stay as big as they are, we definitely need less floors in them.
