Remember me, when you become a Lich, you got Star Fury category opened or you need to open it?
I wish it was specified on wiki, I played Necro many times but forgot such things.

Amazing, thanks!
Then Ogre is still the way to go for Necro. )

Re: Lichdom
Why? You no longer get an extra inscription that doesn't require a category point, you just are allowed to spend 3 category points on them instead of 2. You also wouldn't want to use the dual wielding feature as a necro.GlassGo wrote:Amazing, thanks!

Something powerful in offhand can be handy.

...not...sure...if punning.....?
Re: Lichdom
Well what matters for a necro is spellpower, so unless you have gear giving +4 size, that would mean a sizable hit to spellpower.GlassGo wrote:Why?Number43 wrote:You also wouldn't want to use the dual wielding feature as a necro.

Re: Lichdom
Why he need spellpower?
Impending Doom is irrelevant past lvl 20.

In reality you need +2 size - after that drop in power become insagnificant, like 3 spellpower as far as I remember, and before when penalty was -15% you was need just +1.Number43 wrote:unless you have gear giving +4 size, that would mean a sizable hit to spellpower.

Re: Lichdom
Uh, most of the necro talents scale with spellpower.
And with +2 size that's still -10% raw spellpower, though that means considerably less than -10% rescaled spellpower. But still, your offhand isn't likely to give you that much benefit to compensate for that, and you could find a shortstaff anyway.
All considered, I don't think ogre is the best choice for necromancers. Their dual wielding feature is much more useful for a character that actually attacks with weapons, and is most useful for classes where you need it in order to make use of both two handed and shield trees.

If you mean damaging talents like Invoke Darkness, SP is mostly irrelevant for that, and I don't see anything that required SP for proc except ID.Number43 wrote:Uh, most of the necro talents scale with spellpower.
You can weild shield for example. Or Talos Staff top half.
