I'm playing on a 1366 x 768 resolution screen and i recently switched to 32x32 tile size which has helped a lot but i still feel like i could be seeing more than i am now. Any advice on modifying the ui so that the game is a little more playable?

You could reduce the icon size and the hot bar.
But you seem to have enough view there for most situations anyway.

My feedback meter decays into coding. Give me feedback and I make mods.

Liberal use of the look (l key) command and shift+arrow keys for those out of reach situations.
A little bit of a starters guide written by yours truly here.

That view looks good enough. You can make the skill bar icons smaller. Also, it makes sense to have the skill bar on the side with a widescreen resolution.
Also known as Boatshow, for some stupid reason.
