Question regarding Path of the Sun behavior

#1 Post by kraazivaan »

The description of Path of the Sun says: "While standing in the path, your movement takes no time."

I would expect that to mean that, regardless of anything else, if you move from one PotS square to another, enemies will not get to act, and damage-over-time effects will not trigger.

Is this accurate? And if not, under what conditions would this not be the case, and why?

Walking on PotS doesn't take time.
But if you switch place with a summon when you are both standing on PotS then it will take a turn regardless.
Also if you use any kind of tp/dash from one square of PotS to another then a turn will pass (if your tp/dash isn't instant)

Don't know if there is any other weird interaction.
I write guides and make addons too now, apparently

You can go here for a compilation of everything I wrote, plus some other important stuff!

Includes general guides (inscriptions, zone, prodigies), and class guides (Demo, Anorithil, Bulwark, Zerker, Sblade)

There are some really weird situations where PoTS movement takes time but i'm not entirely sure what causes it, all i know is i've died to an aether beam trap while walking on sun path (maybe moving onto traps takes time because it attempts to disarm? idk)
