By the way, using Scale Release prevents all healing for fire drakes. It makes it kind of bad. Also, the Blighted Drake Anti-Death ability seems to be way weaker then the normal ability, since Drakelings return at level 1 and die considerably more easily.

Edit: normal fire and drakelings, right?

Yeah, normal fire like from fire breath and claw, and normal drakelings. They just will not heal. They won't take damage from fire, though they will from anything else I dish out, but fire will not heal them no matter which ability I use. Not even renewing flame on them or me.

Did you make a new save file? Even if you turn your add-ons off, your save file will still be using those add-ons.

Not necessarily. It only removes the "Fire Drake Scales" Fire Resistance bonuses. If you're far enough into the game that you can generate 100% Fire resistance through equipment, it can be an extremely powerful talent.

Oh, and btw Kamani. Note that the Drakelings return at Lv1... WITH ALL THEIR TALENTS IN TACT. :wink:

Okay. I am evidently COMPLETELY incapable of getting ANY Fiery Choker. But since those scales can do up to 90ish damage, I can see how they would be good if you had other fire resist. Also, lv. 6 drake skills is nice to have.

Edit: Zemekkys asks for a Resonating Marble in one of his dialogues, then later switches back to the normal Resonating Diamond.
Edit: Error Message. Not clear on why. Something about one of my talents, possibly an Inner Demon of one of my drakelings. I will say if I get it again.

Weird... My fire works. What skills do you have?
Do your drakes have normal fire resist?

Fire breath and flame claws mostly are the ones I use, and also tried renewing flame, though that never does anything whenever I try it.
Yeah they do, should they have a different kind of fire resist?

Are you absolutely certain you have NO strange add-ons whatsoever? I honestly can't even guess what could be wrong other than some sort of add-on conflict... Or maybe you downloaded an old version? Hmmm...

Scale release deals damage to you if you attack you. It isn't actually a problem, but it is kind of funny.

On a whim I turned off all my mods again, and lo and behold, it worked this time. Don't know why, but I hope I don't have to keep them all off to heal my drakelings, there were a lot of quality of life improvements in those mods. Thank you though.

EDIT: Turned them back on again, and the problem fixed itself. Dunno what caused it, but I'm glad it's fixed, now I can actually keep my drakelings alive for once.

Definitely. Now though, I'm stuck on another issue. Rescued Melinda, trying to leave, says I can't abandon her, okay. Trying to get her out first, drakelings keep pushing past her so she can't get to the stairs. Very annoying.

Never mind, finally managed it with a combination of concurrance, battle formation, and glide. Would be great if you could tell your drakelings where to go or to stay put for a while for something like that.

That's on my "To-Do" list. I noted how absurdly rude the Drakelings were, so I'll fix that at some point-- The next big patch, that is.

Here's a hint: "Fiery Choker" is a "Boss-only" drop in the "Far East" section of the game, so if you're looking for it, you'll need to kill bosses there. That is to say: It will never drop as a random artifact or appear in the Vor Armory (as far as I know).
