Cloak of deception effect not working anymore

Hello, this is my first port here so be kind^^

I've the following problem:
-I've upgraded the effect of my cloak of deception as a skeleton in the Shertul fortress
-I gave the cloak to the apprentice for unlocking the city of mages
-Somehow the effect vanished after entering the shertul fortess
-I can't get it back, given that I have not any more my cloak


Can I do something about this? It's kinda game breaking

Yeah, I can fix it. Follow the instructions and link in my signature.

When you do the cloak upgrade in the fortress it suggests you hold onto it in case of something like this. Currently there's a bug that removes the effect when you die; quickly re-equipping the cloak fixes it so holding onto it is a very good idea.

Kinda thinking this should be changed to a state flag instead of being a flimsy status effect.
