Stuck in the fortress.

So i have cleared everything in the west and for the first time went though the portal to the east, so far so good, then i cleared the first cave zone and at the end there were two exit portals i too one at and *bam* back to the fortress.

No problem i just go through the portal agai.... Not enough energy.

Now i have transmoged everything and still only at 26. Roaming around for adventure parties to ambush me; no dice.

I have googled this one and to my astonishment it seems no one have had this problem, so i suppose this qualifies for a stupid question...

Wait, it requires energy to travel from the portal in Reknor to the East? Shouldn't just leaving the fortress put you back in the east? That room in the middle that you appear in after you use the wand of recall?

I'm confused

Yup apparently it requires 45 energy to get to the east.

But then i exit ze fortress i am still in the good old west where i have cleared all and have no way to raise the needed energy

are you absolutely sure you were in the right place?
you entered a mountain, cleared a few levels, at the end there was an orc wyrmic, kiling him drops the "orb of many ways" and spawns a messenger, then you used the orb on the portal that was in that location.
Then, you landed in the middle of a battle between a boss orc of whatever class and a boss anorithil.

that is what happened when you landed ther right?

because if you recalled, and then went through the EXPLORATORY FARBPORTAL in the fortress, then duh it requires energy.

You seem to be getting portals confused. Go to the portal at the bottom of Reknor and use the Orb.
