This would allow players to not have to go through the sometimes monotonous button mashing stage in the beginning that doesn't involve much strategy, because of the lack of talents at this point in the game. This is particularly relevant for people who play with weak characters and/or with high difficulty settings.
Trade-offs could be added, such as removing all the enemies in the starting areas, perhaps along with the accompanying artifacts.

I'd like to see an addon that'd start you at 10 in Last Hope with some extra gold, but disable the initial 6 starter dungeons. Would be fun for classes that don't start to come together until their first category point, and remove some of the initial tedium of starting.

higher difficulties have you put against a lvl 12 midge swarm, possibly a rare, at the very begining when you are lvl 1.
