Playing ToME through proxy

#1 Post by Gottschkopf »

Hey,

I was trying to play through a proxy, using the program Proxifier allowed the launcher to connect, but I can't log in my account ingame. Is there any way to properly use proxys? Thanks in advance, lads.

I have no experience with those but in any case it's probably a matter of ports. ToME needs to be able to access two ports, not just one: 2257 and 2258

Hm, I can't get it to work. Thanks nonetheless. Maybe some1 else knows a solution.

[Edit] Another problem playing without a working connection seems to be that I can't play the DLC's, despite having them listed as 'active' under Addons...

Proxies usually work only on a limited number of ports, and ToME servers use about 3 nonstandard port numbers. You probably need a VPN or something.

Not sure if this helps, but a similar thread with a possible solution is here:

Oh I see, you have already posted in that thread.
