Please help: Failing at final boss. :( [minor spoilers?]

Please help! So, for the first time I made it to the final boss fight. Had 5 lives remaining when I arrived, I'm a level 46 Ghoul Sun Paladin.

I'm down to two lives now, I'm just getting owned. The two mages just burn me down, I usually don't last more than 5-10 turns. I think the best I've done is gotten one mage down 50%. Am I doing something wrong? How should a Sun Paladin be handling this fight?

If anyone can give me some advice to salvage this fight I'd appreciate it, this is the farthest I've ever got, I want to beat the game.

Also, how do you close the 4 portals? I can't seem to attack them. Thanks much!

Put your mouse pointer over a portal and see if anything gives you an idea...

I can see anything obviously wrong with your build, so maybe its a strategy issue.
Are you using Ghoulish Leap and Path of the Sun to instantly close in?
Are you trying to debuff them or just burst damage them to death?

Unless closing the portals does something undocumented to the sorcerers it probably isn't going to help much. At least not on normal. The portals start out with meaningless chaff and if you can't drop one of the sorcerers while Aelryn is alive you'll never be able to drop one when you no longer have a distraction. If you die without killing a sorcerer after she's down you may as well give up.

Are you using Ghoulish Leap and Path of the Sun to instantly close in?
Are you trying to debuff them or just burst damage them to death?

I use those two to close in, I don't really debuff though. I mainly just hit them with Irresistable Sun, Crusade, Assault, and Shield Pummel/Slam.

I hope you are starting with Shield Pummel.
Do you use Block at all?
