[Cheat request] Infinite Category Points

#1 Post by tmo97 »

Well, here I am, meta-gaming a roguelike because this game is amazing so far and it has so much roleplaying potential, I want to cast myself into my own imagination and see what happens.

I've downloaded a few mods that increase levelup gains, remove caps and so forth, but I can't seem to find anything regarding category points. I understand this is game breaking, but since there is no option to unlearn a talent tree whatsoever and since there is no mod to do so or one to add category points, I'm here making an account and adding a request.

I know logic, but not LUA.

Would you be willing to help? Sincerely,

-tmo97

P.S. This game is absolutely amazing, I love it and I'm recommending it to my friends.

EDIT: I'm not sure if this is the right subforum.

I already have a levelup addon, so this was p easy. How does one per level sound for 'infinite'?

That said, my existing addon provides four extra category points between level 6 and 40. I rarely need much more than that!

There's also this addon, which /isn't/ mine, but gives Ridonculous levels of cat points late game. Still less than the one-per-level one I just threw you together, tho. This one is only really usable on adventurers, and will make you feel dirty if you're not playing high difficulty.

Enjoy being OP!

yeah, there is an addon that lets you adjust how many points you get on lvl up, by multiplying what you get. (also works on quest rewards.)
by default, it can only do times 10 the norm, but its not that difficult to change (i set it to up to 100 times the norm), once you know how to open and read the damn file.

combined with his "1 each lvl", and "more mastery" addon, well...

i also wish there was an addon, that lets you put more than 5 points in a talent.

Thanks for helping, guys. That would do, astral, I don't think I need any more than that, haha. :D
I'll definitely do a higher difficulty, I'm already doing that. My punches now crit about 600 damage since I got storm bringer gloves, enhancement tree (Fire and lightning damage), amongst other such improvements. It's ridiculous to punch someone and see 5 different kinds of damage and even some repeating ones. I love how that's just possible with mods.

Now that that is out of the way, is there a way to force-load a save with new mods?

btw Radon, that would be a really cool idea.
Love removing caps on things. I usually metagame and finetune my experience so that it's difficult in the beginning like in the real game but it instead of slowing character development to a halt/grind, I like to make the enemies just get infinitely stronger so that I have a reason to be OP. Like OP vs. OP. 8)

multiclass challange lets you pick a second class (bonus points on pick, no more on lvl up), which causes all monsters, to be rand bosses, once you reach certain lvl (10 by default, can be set between 5 and 15).
it also has a "max lvl" option, which (if not default) makes monsters scale slightly differently, and i believe it removes zone lvl mini/cap on monsters.

edit
uhm... maybe you can edit the save file to include them or something?
