[1.4.4] Can't login using steam

I bought this a while ago and liked my account, I can log into te4.org (http://te4.org/users/tarks-0 ) but can't loging inside the game. When I press the Login Via steam button it brings up the registration dialog but nothing I put in there has any effect, it just shows a progress bar then goes back to the registration dialog.
