I know what the problem is now for these two errors.
I forgot to add the ashes addon to the proper directory.
Of course this means that there is *NO* check for the needed ashes addon to even exist before the game attempts to load a character.

Last time I had this type of problem removing the world.teaw file and letting a new one be generated worked to solve it. This time it did not.
The one that did load didn't have the required addon of ashes-urhrok.
Most people should have a new clean version when they go to 1.4 so I doubt this will be a real problem for most, but it is a recurring problem so it should be checked.

Some 1.4 talents give no benefit when adding a point.
This screen shows the preview of going from 4 dots to 5 dots.
As you can see, the only things that change are the stat and the level requirements.

Doesn't that scale with Paradox, though? So investing a point might bring benefits if you had higher Paradox.

I found Eden's Guile boots, and got a new icon. Right-click on that icon and whoops - icon gone.
That is counter-intuitive. I know that auto-activation is only available in addons, but why does the
icon disappear?

On an adventurer build with both "Beyond the flesh" and "Throw bomb": when I use throw bomb, Beyond the flesh seems to be deactivated and activated again.
In 1.3 that was there already, but you got a message about it.
In 1.4b6 there is no message, but it still seems to happen. At least when I telekinetically wield a gem and then throw a bomb, my mana goes down by 45 while if telekinetically wield something else and throw a bomb, mana decreases by 5 as should be.

I dont understand, nor can I seem to reproduce that. Strange. That is exactly what I do (just tried again): Wielding a staff and throw a bomb: mana goes down 5, Wielding a ruby and throw a bomb, mana goes down by 59. I loaded the character above in 1.3.3 and whenever I throw a bomb I get the message independent from what I wield telekinetically. But with the gem, mana goes down. It seems to be the same in beta6, but without message.

And another strange happening in beta 6.
I am sure I finished old forest and peeked into Sher'tul (according to the quest log Into the Darkness is done and Sher'Tul Fortress active).
On level 1 of Old Forest was a cave with rogues. Both rogues and the Weirdling Beast were a bit strong so I left and came back later.
A few levels later: I enter level 1 of Old Forest, find the cave and clean it out.
Then I want to go on. As I enter level 2,3 and 4 they are generated again with a new layout (as far as I remember; in level 4 I am sure) and new monsters. No second Wrathroot, though.
Lake Nur was then reloaded as expected.

Crap. Saved over it, but I'll reproduce it. I've been trying to narrow what triggers the bug. New problem now though: negative mods aren't showing up on the right hand side of the screen.


It's happening at different zoom settings, testing on other characters now.
OK new AB still isn't showing poison/saturation/etc...

Shalore AB: AFTER creation, I placed two class points into Lighting and two into Flame. Leveled in Trollmire. Returned to Derth and could only remove three of the four class points. No other changes made to character. File below.

Found a bug: go to the Derth gem store, pick any gem that has three or more in stock, and buy one of them. The gem will be transferred to your inventory, but your money won't be decreased and you won't get the log message e.g. "Bought: zircon for 42.69 gold."
The bug appears to be in mod.class.Store:doBuy(), line 167:
o is the store object after the transfer has been done, so o:getName() will return e.g. "2 zircon". The problem is that ActorInventory:findInInventory() passes {no_count=true} to Object:getName() internally, so the gem in inventory will be seen as just "zircon" and won't match, short-circuiting all the rest of :doBuy()'s handling. :doSell() below looks like it will probably have the same problem, but I haven't tested it.
The bug appears to be in mod.class.Store:doBuy(), line 167:

Does T3 gear showing up in Last Hope anymore? Just wondering if I have had a few bad RNG store setup games in a row or if this has been changed. Everything is T1 or T2 in the shops, even the shopkeeper one.

On another note, there seems to be a problem with Venomous Strike when starting as an archer (rogue seems unaffected). As soon as my mouse scrolls over the icon there's a lua error. It seems to think I've invested points into it. Lua output below and a link to a save will follow.

I know that teleportation et al don't work as expected in the charred scar, so normally I don't use them. Hence I am not sure if this is new:
In the interest of science I experimented a bit. With teleportation I ended up embedded in stone quite often (>50%). With phase door I managed to embed myself in stone as well. With a torque of psychoportation I never in 20 tries managed to embed myself in stone.
