About monster levels, depending on difficulity

#1 Post by HSmage »

Recently i came back to tome and started to playing on insane, which has higher level mobs. Thing is, while starting zones is all cool, I'm against ~6lvl monsters there, it changes when i enter my first t2, usually maze, where I encounter what? ~13 level monsters, while I am somewhere around same level. Wth? Shouldnt they be around ~25-30lvl??

since 2 days I'm looking whether its addons or what, but cant find anything usefull.

edit: funny part is, level scaling works(partially) only with all is unique add-on...which makes it riddiculous :D
partially, becouse t1 are same level as you are (1+) and t2 are ~35

edit2: switching to windows doesnt give anything, entering t2 as 15 lvl brawler i encounter 15 -17 lvl creeps. So its normal with more rares.

I DONT KNOW IF ITS GOOD? WHAT IF THIS IS NOT BUG? AND INSANE IS JUST EASYY??? XDDD kidding

Maybe the difficulty setting reset itself on new character?
My feedback meter decays into coding. Give me feedback and I make mods.

Are the enemies actually too easy, or is it just the level that seems strange?

I tend not to worry too much about enemy levels. Their stats and talents are what really determines their difficulty.

lol, what? cmon, difference of 10 levels aint nothin, dude. Also, it looks like it affects t2, not t1, where i can see a difference: trollmire on nightmare, mobs are sitin' at 3-4 levels, on insane, more about 6. Compare it to your bare 1 lvl character and you have a pretty nice start, but than boom, you go to t2 and only thing you can feel is tickling by your feet.

it works in t1 and there is a big, visible growth of a rares numbers. While Trollmire and korpul are fairly breezy, than in norgos/scicaves, one can usually find an asston of rare+

But Effy House, anybody playin on insane, just tell me if its bug or what?

I had a similar question I was going to make a thread about. Was playing on Nightmare difficulty and found a Fearscape portal in the prides. My character is level 43. Monsters in there were level 80 to 90.

If it's that bad on NM how bad will it be on Madness or Insane?

In insane it should be quite harder, while in madness its a totally different game. If we compare it to the weapons, nightmare is a knife, insane is a sword and madness is AK-47, something like that :)

Madness levels at times are much higher, but it is the overall stats and talents that scale up much higher. I have no idea how it works tbh, but the numbers are truly dazzling.

Yesterday I killed all the backup guardians on madness. One had 850,000 hit-points. Yes, that's 850,000. The others were about 350,000 or so, some less.

Two days ago I cleared the room of death on madness for the first time. Their hit points were lower than this, but their talent levels were crazy.
MADNESS rocks
