Dual Staff Channel
I couldn't help but notice Channel Staff only uses one staff (main hand I presume) while dual wielding. And right when I was really looking forward to channeling two at once. What are you're thoughts on this matter? Is it intentional or just overlooked? If so should it be changed to include both staves?
Re: Dual Staff Channel
well, i was unable to channel a TK wielded staff so... i guess that's just how the game is?
unfortunately most skills only check specific slots, and then only use those specific slots.

Re: Dual Staff Channel
Channel one, put it in off hand, channel the other, and then put the weaker one in off hand. There's not really an issue.... It's just cumbersome. When you channel a staff, it simply changes the damage type bonus on it. As long as its equipped somewhere, you'll get the boost. The only issue is that you can't change damage types on demand.

Re: Dual Staff Channel
Are you sure you're not mistaking Channel Staff for Command Staff? Because I already figured that one out.
Re: Dual Staff Channel
Oh, oops. It's most likely intentional and most people who use staves in both hands... Are going for something like staff reaver.

Re: Dual Staff Channel
Currently, Command Staff only modifies the staff in the mainhand. As Micbran said, you can just swap staves in the mainhand, Command them, then swap them to other slots to get the same effect. I want to change this at some point, but there are higher priority issue that need to be addressed first.
Channel Staff also only uses the mainhand staff. Changing that would have balance implications, and would only really affect Reaver anyway, so I'm not sure if/when that will be changed.

Re: Dual Staff Channel
wouldn't if affect any class that gets telos bottom staff? I thought any class can offhand that.Effigy wrote:Currently, Command Staff only modifies the staff in the mainhand. MADNESS rocks
Re: Dual Staff Channel
Can that piece be channelled?
My feedback meter decays into coding. Give me feedback and I make mods.
Re: Dual Staff Channel
I didn't realize Telos' Bottom Half could be offhanded. Interesting.
Re: Dual Staff Channel
Well yeah, Reavers are the only ones who can dual-wield staves after all. It just kind of made sense to me since you can attack with two weapons at once, you should also be able to channel two at once.Micbran wrote:Oh, oops. Not sure what the deal with slings is, anyone know if Shoot uses both slings? Probably not. Though, as interesting as it sounds, I doubt dual sling Reaver is a good idea, even if you can shoot both at once.
Re: Dual Staff Channel
can you offhand a sling?
i do not think you can.
reaver doesn't just unlock the off-hand for everything, as far as i know, it only allows the melee 1h weapons and short staves.
(possibly some addon items too)
i would guess that since it is not supposed to shot both, even if you can, it wont check for the offhand slot.
