Ruined Earth on item doesn't function correctly

When I use the Ruined Earth ability on my gauntlets, the cursed ground will only lower my damage and does not lower the damage of my enemies.

Since you have the difficulty on insane and you only have ~30 mindpower, I'd say the enemies are saving against it.
