I picked up ToME again after a while, and have one of my most promising characters (a CL48 hobbit warper playing thaumaturgy).
I just killed all the enemies in the Last Alliance quest, and go the yellow "you can now escape" message. However, I can not figure out how to actually leave the screen to complete the quest. I can't "<" back to the overworld map, and I can't find any stairs on the map. Is this a glitch, or am I missing something?
I'm on OSX 10.9. Where are character dumps saved to? I was going to post to the oook ladder for end game advice.
Finally, is there a way to view your home inventories? I thought it would be through the ~ menu but that doesn't seem to do anything.
Thanks!
e: Never mind first question- found the stairs under some loot.

There are several quests where the stairs appear under you when you finish them. It also isn't unusual for them to be covered with loot. So keep track of where you were standing when you killed the boss or last monster.

Thanks! Any ideas on the other two questions (where char dumps go on OSX and how to view your home inventories)?
I'm at that point where all my homes are full (except Khazad Dhum) but I've now hit the upper levels of Angband and I'm finding lots of nice things that I'm not sure how they stack up to the gear I already have, plus wondering what equipment to switch around so I can put on a speed ring or two.

The only way I know to view all your home inventories is to make a character dump and then look at the text file outside Tome. But since you don't know where character dumps go that isn't very useful.
You should be able to search for the character dump, though. The default is <character name>.txt, so as long as your character is named something unique you shouldn't have any trouble finding it (or you can name the file something unique). I presume that it will be in the lib/user subdirectory of the Tome 2.3.5 directory, wherever that is.

I think they are going into some hidden system folder that isn't searchable. I've looked around under /System/Library but haven't found it yet.

Are you running it natively or using the Windows version under Wine? My Wine files are in my Users directory.
