ADDONS FOLDER DOES NOT EXIST!?

#1 Post by Meteostar »

I've been trying to add addons but I could not find where to put them. I have been hearing about how you are supposed to put them in the addons folder. But when I check the T-Engine folder, an addons folder does not appear anywhere. Am I doing something wrong? Am I checking the wrong folder? Or did I get jibbed or something? btw, I amm not a donator.

I believe you are searching in the wrong place. However, to check if you really don't have an addon folder, run ToME and click on the addon button. If nothing shows up in the list of addons, then you really are missing it. But, if you have a list of addons that say "Item Vault" and "Stone warden" and "Addon development tools" then you do have the addon folder.

1. Open the folder that you have the t-engine executable in (the name of the folder varies from system to system, but if you're using Linux the name of the folder is "t-engine4-linux64-1.3.1")

2. Once you have opened t-engine folder, you should see a folder called "game". Open that folder.

3. Once inside the "game" folder, you'll see a folder named "addons". Its purpose is pretty self explanatory.

4. To add an add-on to the game, you must copy the add-on and paste it inside the "addons" folder. So, download an add-on, copy it, and paste it inside the "addons" folder.

After you have completed these steps, run ToME once more. Click on "Addons" in the main menu, and the add-on you just installed should show up in the list of addons.

Yeah, you are probably looking in the users t-engine folder, not the game's real folder.

If the folder doesn't contain any executables, its not going to be the game's actual folder.
