Maybe, maybe not. It's not an official list, really. It was, at one point, complete or nearly so, and stickied for that reason. So I agree with you that it's not useful, but it's not like anyone was signing on to be a long-term community manager to maintain this. If it bothers you, you can always start your own thread or better yet transfer things over to the wiki so someone disappearing from the community won't sink the project.
