Save files on separate computers?

#1 Post by Tullidd »

Super new here, did a search to see if it had been addressed and didn't find anything. Been playing this game a lot on my laptop. Come over to my desktop and find that I have none of my saves (not a big deal) but I don't have any of the class unlocks I got on my laptop. Any easy way to sync or bring these over from my laptop? If not then I'll just start fully fresh on my desktop. Just found it weird that achieves sync up but the rest doesn't.

Thanks in advance

As long as your unlocks show up on your profile (you were signed in and online at the time you got them) then they will sync to a new machine. This generally requires you to run the game a couple times, but they should sync up. If they don't for whatever reason then you can manually copy them over. You can just copy over your entire profile (C:\Users\username\T-Engine\4.0\profiles), or the specific file for the unlocks (C:\Users\username\T-Engine\4.0\profiles\online\modules\tome\allow_build.profile)
<astralInferno> poor stunt
<astralInferno> you suffer so that others may suffer in the intended way

Have a save in need of fixing? Open a ticket, send me a copy of your save: http://www.te4support.org/

If I wasn't signed in while I got them. Does playing the game while I am online with them afterwards pick them up retroactively? I always make sure I am synced up/signed in through steam (don't know if this makes a diff with other methods). Running the game a couple times meaning simply meaning to fire up the game/close it. rinse and repeat? Or actually make a character and play through it for a couple of times? Either way I'll probably just copy the files over and hope it'll sync up in the future :)

Thanks so much :)

It syncs when you are on the main menu and logged in.
Unlocks seem to copy from the offline account onto the online one, so it should unlock on the other machine.
My feedback meter decays into coding. Give me feedback and I make mods.
