Got the same problem.
The weird thing is, i put three items in the online vault from my TW and switch to my Ogre Demologist. (Mighty Girdle, Snow Giant Wraps and Colaryem)
It is offline since the switch and I can't access anymore :(.
Maybe it has something to do with TW switching str requirements on weapons to mag and something messed up.
Or the additional level 15 req with item without other req.
There are also still the +0 set enhancements on the girdle and the wraps.

Same problem here.

The TW piste may be correct. If I remember well, the first time I acceded the vault was with the new TW. And I may have put some item used with Strength of Purpose

Okay, so after some bug isolation (much thanks to thechills) I have something for people to try. Go to C:\Users\your windows username\T-Engine\4.0\profiles\online\generic\ and delete online.profile. Run the game - it will ask you to put in your username and password. Do so, connect, then load a character that has access to the fortress and try to use the vault. Please let me know if this works.

Been watching this thread, as I have the same issue currently. Sadly no change after deleting the online.profile file, can still only access the 3 slot offline vault.

I got the bug too, but I fixed it!

What I had to do

I had two copies of ToME; one was "quarantined" because it was infected by the haunted dream projection bug, and the other one was the copy that I normally used, a fresh install from ToME's website from not even 2 weeks ago

I took the online.profile file that stunt talked about and deleted it from the new ToME copy, but that didn't fix it for me, so what I had to do delete the online.profile file, then take the online.profile file from the quarantined copy, and put it into the new ToME copy to replace the new online.profile file, and it worked!

too bad more people won't be able to do this

The online.profile only has your online login and pass, hard to fathom how deleting that would change anything. It does though. I can now access the vault again, cheers! :)
"A very wise choice, sir, if I may say so. Very good." it said. "I'll just nip off and shoot myself."

Deleting it makes you need to re-enter it, which potentially writes some info somewhere else. Copying that file over would do nothing (as like you said it's just those two bits), but removing it and forcing it to log in again seems to have some results.

It didn't work for me, I'm afraid. I deleted the file, opened the game, enetered my name and password, loaded a character that was in the Fortress, but the Vault was still in off-line mode.

Okay, something more involved to try and see if there's a file issue for you.

Go to C:\Users\username\T-Engine, rename the 4.0 folder to 4.0.bak

When you start the game it will be like a fresh install. Log in, create any character, save it, exit the game. Then navigate to where the saves are in the 4.0.bak version (C:\Users\username\T-Engine\4.0.bak\tome\save) and copy a character folder that you know has access to the fortress. Paste it into the save folder for the current 4.0

Run the game, load that character, see if the vault works. If so, we'll go from there.

When I do that, I launch the game and it stuck on 100% loading without ever reaching the character creation screen.( With a fast slight flickering) . Stuck even when I tried with Steam offline mode.

Once I revert the file 4.0.back into 4.0, the game launch normally.

Uhhhh...That's incredibly strange. When that happens check the game log for the error that's coming up. More info on that here: http://forums.te4.org/viewtopic.php?f=42&t=43181

Actually, you could try also temporarily renaming your addons folder. I've seen this issue once and it was related to addon conflict stuff caused by the fact that all addons in the folder were suddenly loading together when previously some were disabled.

Thanks for the fast reply.

You were right: disabling the addon let the game start (I should remember to always deactivate addons when doing something new).

But the imported character in the new install could still not store more than 3 items in the vault. (My steam account was correctly logged). It's not that much of a deal, I already feel storing item is kind of cheating, so I wont use it anyway.
