Explane death of my character

#1 Post by GlassGo »

I mean, please. )
I don't know, if there some kind of postmortem logs there.
If yes, tell me where, if no - my char took a step, and was attacked about 10? times? (Insane)
It looks like unavoidable death, so I want to know what happend, and how to counteract this, because char was very well equipped.

the te4_log.txt file?
at C:\Users\Admin\Downloads\t-engine4-windows-1.3.1\t-engine4-windows-1.3.1

should show what happened so long as look at it right after it happened before another game overwrites.

the save .teag file for a character is just a renamed zip file; name it .zip and then can open and look in it.

Well, since that moment a lot of games happens.
I'll try to look in .teag file, maybe there is an info I need.

Edit: well, I renamed it, and open it, but don't understand what to look for in there.
Can someone clarify?

For now I have only this

3 rares, you are a wyrmic, and in scintilating caves.
i see aura of gloom, so one of them (ant?) is likely cursed, meaning rampage or some multi-hitting talent.
you were confused and stunned... something about shield...

as far as i see you were extremely unlucky to get 3 rare enemies with possible some no cast time abilities and rushes.

Snake is a boss, other two didn't hit my char even once.
It looks like - I took a step, then I died, and was at almost full health bar.
Or, if "shield" on picture appear, when your shield crumbles, it was FULL health bur plus shield.
Was hit like 10 times, still don't know how it happend.
You can see how many times my char was hit by the inscriptions "low health", there are a lot of them.
Maybe, just maybe that due lag it was not 1 turn, but 2, but that not change much.

"Maybe, just maybe that due lag it was not 1 turn, but 2"
if "lag did that then its a bug.
It could have been legit if you had a very low global or movement speed. That would let the snake attack twice.

Snakes have 125% global speed.
A little bit of a starters guide written by yours truly here.

I remember from log that I was slowed and stunned by gloom.
And actually I don't think there was a lag.

So, we have high gs on snake, stun and slow on my char, and some multi-hit talent.
That's explan around 10 attack, but anyway that was rough.

Oh, yeah, you have to be careful when you get slowed. Remember that moving while slowed gives enemies several turns to your one. That's a big source of my careless deaths later in the game...which, thinking about it, probably means jellies may be my most consistent cause of death. Embarrassing.

if you hit "H" key in game it brings up the game log of the character you're playing, showing each hit you take, what type of damage, what did it, what status effects, ect.
"You could skip it, i think it drops 0 xp and 1 copper [at most], you are better off selling oxygen to beggars to become rich."

I didi it right away after died char, but there wasn't clear, which part of log was before I took a step, and which (lethal part) after.
