Partly - I advertised Shadowblade because that is what I did my Let's Learn series with. As for Wyrmics, they are really good for unlocking Pyromancer/Cryomancer respectively.
Its amazing what the mind can come up with, but it shows talent to make something of it. - Davion Fuxa

the wildfire mage is more directed to higher difficulties rather than normal (or nightmare), so you can play the other 2 without problems imho
for a melee i suggest you to do this: thalore bulwark, and go antimage, doing this will teach you more things like the importance of equipement, infusions and category points imho, its harsh but helps in my opinion, and in normal bulwark is usually a forgiving character in terms of mistakes
reading the sign in zigur will give to your current and future character the possibility to betray the escort for alternative rewards if you havent visited the village yet :P
Antimage was one of the first classes I wanted to make but was turned off because of how complex it seemed and the guides were outdated so I was fairly lost about the class. Im still learning but im imtimated trying classes I dont have a guide to follow.
since you want to learn and there are no real guides about going antimagic you cant learn em until u try one of em :P
but isnt too hard, going antimagic on a character prevents you from using arcane powered items, spells and runes (you can still use infusions) and you get 2 generic trees: the antimagic tree that gives you a non-physical reduction shield, an antimagic shield, a silence AOE and a skill that drain a magic resource like vim, mana and positive and negative energy while doing damage based on the amount drained; the other one is fungus (gained from killing urkis in tempest peak when getting the quest from zigur) that makes your regeneration infusions better while giving an extra healing.
the suggestion to the quest is to not use any arcane powered item while doing the trial, you wont be able to use them.

Fair point  I was mostly saving it for the future when I know more about the game, appreciate the advice. What kind of skills would prioritize?

pumping str and when i cant pump it i divide the points between dex and willpower
im doing this character right now, i died once atm because i played too much recklessly into a vault with 3 thousand of giants boulder thrower :CC

the first 10 levels i raised my shield pummel to 4 and then taking 1 point to the rest while maxing shield wall
once i got to level 10 i used my category point to unlock battle tactics as improves both my mobility and damage output
i suggest btw a torque of mindblast to clear waves and to have a ranged tool or for kiting some enemies (dreads and their stupidly high defense)
if you find an anorithil escort get track from rewards, or a point in dreamwalk if you have to flee

xSeQueL wrote:I really enjoyed my Wyrmic too but I think I picked up the wrong breaths, I had Ice/Corrosive and Lightning. If I were to do another run I think this time I'd swap Lightning out for Sand and possibly Ice for Fire in order to work towards the achievement. I also didn't realize how strong Natures Balance was until my last life so I'd rush that a lot quicker. How do you feel about Ice Armor and Ice Wall? I hear great things about Ice Wall but I had troubles getting out of Melee range with things in order to use it and recover from any panic attacks.
I've actually typically gone Ice and Lightning, too, and then either Venom or Fire as a third picked up much later, although I could definitely see wanting to focus on Fire for the achievement. I like Ice Armor quite a lot. Ice Wall, I rarely use, since I have enough area attacks that things getting close to me isn't usually a problem. It's occasionally useful for covering me while I flee from a tight spot if I end up unable to teleport for some reason, but the 1 point you have to spend to get the Ice Breath will do for that. I'm also a big fan of Acidic Spray, which you should get to level 5 as quickly as possible for a nice beam attack, and of Static Field. The problem with Fire Breath is that Bellowing Roar, Wing Buffet, and Devouring Flame are all among my three least favorite Wyrmic abilities.

Fire/Ice should work. Use Ice Wall to keep enemies in your Devouring Flames. I'd run it with Sand and put two or three points in Lightning Speed, but leave the rest of the tree alone. I'd ignore Venom. You want to get ice wall to 5 (4 invested) for damage if you're trying to work on the cryomancer unlock as well, and the width and duration make it keep enemies out of your hair for longer when using it to wait out cooldowns.

I started a Temporal Warden and I'm level 30 with no deaths so far, having a blast. I've unlocked a boat load of classes this run - Necromancer, Skirmisher, Paradox Mage, Reaver, Corruptor and Ghoul.

Reaver with two 1h staves is a lot of fun. You become a walking engine of plague and devestation.

I'd suggest Paradox Mage as a fun class. I'm not fond of any of the others you just unlocked. None of them will help you with the archmage advanced element tree unlocks you'd asked about earlier, though.

The achievement will come with time so Im not to worried about that. Ill definitely check ouy PM though next run.

Doombringer looks fun and has fire based attacks too. So many options!

I appreciate all the suggestions, I will be able to come back to thus thread in the future to help me make up my mind
