Stuck in fearscape after refusing to give orb to Tannen

There does not appear to be an exit portal....

The message after killing the boss (imp?) appeared saying 'that a portal appeared' did happen, but there was no portal. Auto-explore does not locate a portal. I don't think there was an error message... but I'm not really an avid reader.

I'm a bit bummed because my pretty awesome temporal warden is now stuck. Maybe the eff-up has something to do with him. He's kind of a speed freak. Maxed (in a reasonable, non-completionist way) in the speed giving / time / turn producing talents (fast elf type as well), fast bow, used mostly arrows to kill the little bugger. I've noticed shield-graphics sometimes don't appear at the right time, etc. so I thought maybe the way it steps through the bonus turn/time might be it. I know that is a simplistic view of the complexity, etc.

If there is a series of commands or something I can do to force a portal to appear that would be great! If someone could help me with that I would be eternally grateful - you know, for five minutes or so.

When you kill the boss a portal is supposed to appear where it was. If for some reason this isn't the case then you can ask in the game chat if a moderator is on (I probably will be, and others might be as well) and we can teleport you out. The portal is pretty hard to spot if you've wandered away from it, and autoexplore doesn't bring you to it. My first time there, I lost the portal while I was clearing out the level. I managed to find it by switching to ASCII view, which makes it much more visible.
