Linking a creature in chat ?

#1 Post by Herode_ »

I've just activated my online profile and I see the 'Link this creature in chat' option when I right-click on some foe.
If I select this menu entry, I see a 'Agagamemon has linked a creature : <dredge>' in the chat.
(Agagamemnon is my online username).
Obviously, said dredge is not very verbose and still refuses to answer my humble salute. So, what is this option for ?

It's for chatting with other ToME players about the things you encounter in game. If you're logged in to your online ToME profile, other players can see those monster links (as well as item links, achievements you score, etc.), so you can share your horror at encountering some ridiculous rare or unique monster, brag about a cool randart, etc.

Thanks for the tip :D
I guess it was obvious but... dumb question thread, he ? (and noob inside ^^)
BTW, how can I post on the chat ? I tried with "enter", "alt" and do on with no results.

The default keybinding is space, I think. I rebound mine to enter so I can use space for wait. :)
Addons: Arcane Blade Tweaks, Fallen Race, Monk Class, Weapons Pack
Currently working on Elementals. It's a big project, so any help would be appreciated. :)

This came dangerously close to making me laugh out loud at work.
