Talent from escort

I am a Berserker and completed the escort quest in the second map at lvl2 only. I took the generic talent piercing sight whiout having the cunning stats requirement of course (need 28).
Is the talent take effect and works? I can see 1 pts in it but its red cause I dont have that the cunning to get it yet.

The talent works, escort rewards ignore all talent requirements, including stats and having previous talents in the tree.

Nice. I assume that if I choose a talent that require a ressources I don't have (berserker use stamina) like positive energy or mana for exemple, I will not be able to use it, right? You are given the correct resource bar when you learn a talent that would require it.

So, be careful of learning magic talents unless you are okay with being vulnerable to anti-magic damage.

It's also worth noting that you may not have much of a resource you aren't building for, and that you may not have ways to recover that resource. Mana won't regen on its own for most classes, and equilibrium requires a talent to regenerate consistently. (Paradox thankfully gives you the talent you need to not turn yourself into a smoking crater.) This can be frustrating for magic sustains as they will turn off if resource drain (e.g. antimagic damage) forces the resource to 0.

Mana won't regen on its own for most classes

You just need item with mana-regen, that's all.

You get a complete refill of each resource on level up though. Finding an item that regenerates mana/psi isn't that hard, swap it on, rest, back to other item , keep going.
