Dealing with sleep
I had a recent death that was absolutely brutal. It took me and another player a little time talking about what happened to figure it out: I had been put to sleep by a solipsist rare, and then attacked several times while asleep. By the time I woke up, I was half-dead with a mile long list of debuffs and had so many stuns stacked on me that I had nothing but a Wild: Mental available to use. All I could do then is blindly flail about until my HP was eventually whittled down by the Inner Demon clones of me.
So that brings me to the actual question. If I run into another solipsist rare, what can I do? Or is my only option to simply run and pray that I make it out?

Re: Dealing with sleep
I think you can remove Sleep with a Wild (mental) infusion.

Re: Dealing with sleep
I didn't have a chance to react. I took one step, a bunch of time skipped, and I was surrounded by Inner Demons. Am I supposed to be able to use infusions while asleep? Cause I wasn't.
Re: Dealing with sleep
Is this a 1.3 character? Sleep was changed in 1.3 to not automatically skip turns anymore. If this happened after you took a step, are you sure you didn't have some kind of speed reduction that made that 1 step take multiple turns?

Re: Dealing with sleep
It's a 1.3 character, and not only did I not have speed reduction, I had actually just popped an Infusion of Movement, so I was moving at roughly 500% speed. I took a single step (1/5 of a turn) and suddenly all my buffs were gone, I was stunned (along with a whole list of Sun Paladin debuffs) and there were Inner Demon copies of me on all sides.
the only logical explanation I see to how this happened is, I was put to sleep and skipped at least five turns (which is how long Freedom of Movement lasts).

I'm not sure then. It was supposed to be changed in 1.3, but maybe there's a bug.
Re: Dealing with sleep
I play 1.3 now, and sleep didn't auto-skip turns.
English isn't my native language.

Re: Dealing with sleep
I don't know what to say, unless somebody can better explain how I basically lost 5 turns in a single step while under a 500% movement infusion.
Re: Dealing with sleep
Sorry about your loss.
As to why it happened it's hard to say without the log. Buffs can be stripped though and Solipsists do have the ability to strip physical buffs (i.e. movement infusion).
As for sleep it doesn't skip turns in 1.3. Unless you have an addon that's somehow preventing that change from taking effect sleep either wasn't the culprit or there's a very obscure bug.

Re: Dealing with sleep
Good call. After playing around in developer mode I discovered that Marson's Rest and Autoexplore Tweaks was the addon causing me to lose turns when I sleep. Disabling that addon allowed me to respond to being asleep.
