[1.3.0] Cloud saves messing up with generated areas

#1 Post by Lorcanis »

I can confirm now that using cloud saves when playing on more than one computer (I have a desktop at home and sometimes I play ToME on laptop at work) may cause problems with explored locations.
It happened to me in previous versions already, after loading save from cloud on another computer and returning to the world map, sometimes already visited locations become unexplored and some areas are broken permanently (crucial NPCs missing etc.)

Please fix this, oh great one !

Known problem that unfortunately can't as of yet be fixed as far as I know. 1.3 disables cloud saves by default due to this.

Why it is not possible to just simplify save files that are being saved to cloud ?

Because totally redoing the save format isn't simple :D

That is too bad...

if this cannot be fixed it would be better to remove cloud saving completely. Looks like I will have to transfer saves manually :(

You could also try setting something up with dropbox/one drive or the like.
