How to find Harkor'Zun?

I've been playing this game for years now.

But I've never found Harkor'Zun, found his shards once but nothing showed up afterwards.

I've almost got everything unlocked.
Finally got a character east.

Is there anywhere besides Daikara where Harkor'Zun can show up?
Are there any requirements for making him show up?
Might a farportal work?

Wiki doesn't have much information about him so any advice would be appreciated.

I think he only appears in Daikara. I've had him numerous times, so if just keep making characters should see him eventually. As far as I know, it's just a random spawn.

He's in the Xorn file and has a high rarity. You could think of it like a Xorn artifact. It's just random and if Xorns spawn he can spawn too. Zones with more Xorns (lower Xorn rarity) such as Daikara have a better chance of spawning him.

He could show up in a Far Portal. One that loaded Xorns as one of the primary monsters would be a good candidate.

Personally I've seen him mostly in Daikara and Tempest Peak but seem to remember finding him in a Dreadfell vault once.

So, it's just bad luck, I haven't gotten him yet?

Guess I'll just have to keep chugging and hope he finally shows up.

Is there an ideal level range for spawning xorn in these areas?

Daikara's always the last tier 2 dungeon that I do.
So maybe I'm too high a level and I'm lowering the spawn rate for xorns.
I do tend to get xaren instead.
If Harkor only shows up for xorn, then maybe I should try going there sooner?

Nope, that shouldn't matter. I do Daikara about the same time and get him fairly often.

Harkor'Zun is often subject to the bug where enemies that spawn in groups sometimes overlap each other and don't appear. The Bosses Gone AWOL addon checks for instances of this and attempts to resolve them, ensuring you'll see all of its fragments.

i actually managed to find his shards in dreadfell thanks to a summoning trap
