its not quite a bug, but its deffinitely unintended
guess what's wrong with the following picture.

on top of the image you see aeryn, standing where she stands when you enter the ares for the first time, not where she stands after you talk to her. thats because i have not talked to her, yet as you can see i have already talked to zemekkys.
when you sikp talk with aeryn, you still tell him that "aeryn told me...".

while its not technically a bug, its still... lets say it that way, i am not a chronomancer. my character is not supposed to know his location, or say that "aeyn told me..." if that didnt happened.

How'd you talk to Zem without moving past her?

This also happens if you talk to Aeryn at the gate, but don't talk to her again in the actual town. She'll even tell you to go talk to Zemekkys if you talk to him first. Heck, you could complete the portal without talking to her and I bet she'd probably tell you the same thing.

Being able to jump over Aeryn is definitely hilarious, though.
