[Ashes 1.0.1] Fiery Aegis strobe light party

I'm pretty sure I've isolated the issue to being caused by using the doombringer's new fiery aegis and a shielding rune at the same time. Very reliably ends up with the screen strobing rapidly and being otherwise frozen, requiring the process to be killed. Haven't been able to replicate the issue in other ways yet.

I really wish this wasn't a bug report. That title sounds so awesome.

At least the solution until it's patched is simple-don't use Firey Aegis and a Shielding Rune at the same time. Sucks to lose the option, but better than breaking the game entirely.

Agreed on both counts (discomancer needed asap). Now that I finally figured out what was causing the fatal glitch I can avoid it and try to see if something else triggers it.

Also related to Fiery Aegis, it looks like the damage it actually inflicts is 50% of what it claims it will.

.....the error loop continues from there ...
I was noting how the aegis buff icon and the damage shield displayed the same value then the UI started to crumble in a weird like the UI components fleed for their life out of screen.

I demand a bug fix, and then a patch adding the strobe light visual effect as an Easter Egg reference.

I have the same issue still. I have the gog.com download, which was said to be up to date and included this as a listed fix. I could uninstall and reinstall the whole thing, but I don't want to bother if it's not going to be a fix.

I'm not sure how the error log thing works. I'm using the Adventurer class, by the way, if that could make any difference.

gog.com doesn't always flag things correctly or specifically. Only Linux and Mac were updated, and I reinstalled the Windows DLC, accomplishing nothing. They just recently released the Windows version, so that probably fixes that.

There is, it's platform agnostic; but they package it with an installer I believe

Yes, that's correct. gog.com has its own installer it tacks onto all of its downloads. They processed the Linux and Mac versions first and I didn't notice it. I'm used to getting everything first as a Windows user. X-D
