Master apparently ran away

I wish I was THAT good but is seems more like a bug

I was clearing Dreadfell 9, found him and died to one of his minions shortly after that. I selected to be revived on the world map. After re-entering lv9:
1. Map was covered with FOW despite the fact I previously cleared good portion of it
2. Master was nowhere to be found!
Even tried digging around and searching with Vimsense but to no avail.

Since this is obviously a game-breaker, I'd appreciate any suggestions on how to bring him back.

Marson is unable to rescue you, but should probably be kept on hand for future issues.

This is one of the more commonly reported bugs. The Master might have loaded outside the map area, so he's impossible to do anything to. Lucky for you, tough-monsters and bosses are fully capable of appearing just far enough into walls that they can't be hurt in any way, but can still attack. This can be deadly with a jelly. With the Master? You'd be dead four times over.

Marson's addon won't help here. The Master has been marked as already generated and won't generate again.

Was unaware of that. Did Dreadfell 9 just regenerate for some reason, without the Master since he had already spawned?

Ok guys, thanks for feedback. Guess I'll just strip this char of anything valuable and leave it to rot
