Kitty in the dummy practice area

#1 Post by Jurriaan »

Is it possible to keep the kity out of the dummy practice area?
I really don't like to hit it with my archer - it messes up the average.

Since it's a neutral NPC, you can shoo it out in the same way you'd drown a rare in town.

Keeping it out initially? Do not believe you can do that. To be fair, though, you are a guest in the cat's home.
I'm not crying. I'm offering a sacrifice to DarkGod in hopes he'll show favor to me.

It hasn't worked yet.

This isn't helping. The cat isn't supposed to interfere with using the training room, otherwise having it becomes worse for the player.

That was a joke, Supermini, since cats consider themselves the lord of all they survey.

Like I said, there's currently no way to permenantly bar the cat from any room. You can move it out when it enters, but there's nothing stopping it from coming back in unless you stand at the entrance yourself.

And this is the bugs forum, not the banter forum. My assumption was that you're basically saying it shouldn't be fixed.

It can be fixed in future versions, that's what the bugs forum is for.

After the Firey Aegis Rave Party, I didn't see much of an issue with cracking a joke in this thread. I'm sorry if the humour wasn't clear.

And that's why I specified there is currently no way. This isn't the first time I've seen this issue pop up on the forums, so I assume that it'll probably be fixed in 1.3, or at least eventually.

There's a way, actually. Just fire from the entrance, you can keep kitty in the corridor that way.

Even if standing at the door is an option, it's tedious if your attack moves things around - Bull Shot, for example.

Or you can just lure kitty away (to the SW room, for instance), and then use speed boosters to go back to the training area. The cat only has 50% speed, you've a very good chance to get it lost for a looooong time.
