Infinite Dungeon Escape

I was in the infinite dungeon, and the Bearscape spawned. I couldn't handle it, and so when I died I asked the Eidolon to take me elsewhere. He spawned me on the world map. Which is cool but I had no rod of recall or cloak of deception. I'm gonna keep playing that game to see what else happens.

So this Bearscape you speak of. Is it from an addon, or have I just completely missed the most awesome sounding dimension ever?

It's an event that's pushed from the server from time to time if you are playing online and don't have it disabled in options.

Make sure ToME isn't blocked by your firewall/router. Other than that I have no ideas. Drop by the IRC channel and someone might be able to troubleshoot the problem.

Afaik, any special event can appear inside the ID - and the portal, that appears when you beat the endboss, should drop you back to the worldmap, eventually ending your Infinite-career.

I am not sure, if the regular game is being beatable after dropping from the ID, but surely would be interested to hear about it. Some hurdles: a) you will never get the rod of recall, b) any unique boss, that appeared inside the ID, won't appear again (so, if you killed the Master inside the ID, you wouldn't find him in Dreadfell - preventing you from triggering the questline that leads you to the east).
