Forcefield + hidden resources + timeless

This combo sounds like a pretty entertaining thing on paper, as someone tried this already?

Forcefield removes PSI, HR will not work with it.

Matter is energy works. You dont need timeless or hidden resources

Sure, but the way the psi draining cost adds up with turns this doesn't do nearly the same thing, IF I've understood correctly (my mindslayer just got slaughtered so I can't test). You can't keep the forcefield up for the whole duration of MiE. With Hidden resources + timeless you would have been looking at 15 turns of 0 psi cost Forcefield.

Im quite sure you can easily get additional 8+ turns from it.

Turn on debug, set mindpower to some realistic value and set your effective psi pool to about 50-70 points (psi - all sustain cost). Your MiE should be able to restore around 90-100% of your psi each turn so even when you drain let say 70% per turn it is not a problem. Psi drain is a problem only when your psi pool is huge.

ps. 50-70 points is just an example. Psi pool should be about as big as psi regen from MiE.

I managed to keep forcefield going for 9 turns at a time with my ghoul mindslayer, while fighting massok on insane RL.

I did some quick excelin with the help of those max psi number (70) and autogenerated spoilers. It seems that you would only exceed 52 psi per turn drainage on turn 14-15 (mindpower 100, talent level 5) so your numbers seem to add up. I didn't expect max psi to be that low in the endgame, 14+ turns of total Forcefield seems nice enough.

EDIT. Mindpower 100 is pretty high, of course, considering you probably don't wanto exclusively focus on that.

EDIT2. And because MiE max duration on these settings was 13 turns so 14-15 turns would be the max too it seems.

EDIT3. So one can have forcefield up for the whole MiE duration with 70 psi. Also you could get some additional turns by activating MiE in mid combat, not at the same time with Forcefield but it costs a turn so I assumed you do it before combat.
