BEST EGO COMBO EVER

#1 Post by Radon26 »

There are some very use full egos, some are less.
so, what do you think is the overall best ego of all?

an example of a great ego combo, is:
Brawlers gauntlets of (whatever gives my diperse magic)

it gives a good boost to stats, and on top of that allow you to kill all sustains on enemy mages. (or "most" if its a boss with 10 sustains)
Even when i play a caster character, its worth spending 1 point into the armour training just to get gauntlets.

another good ego is "of misery".
it goes well with pretty much all melee based builds (or so i think), dealing around 500% of your normal weapon damage (when its ready to use).

do you know other ego that are worth looking for?

For melee characters, I absolutely love "Projection" weapons.

Recently found an otherwise garbage rare totem that had

On melee hit:
Reduce global speed by 40%

Combined with the rest of the gear on my rogue, I was potentially stunning, blinding, slowing, bleeding, crippling, reducing armor, inflicting random mental effects, and pinning (via spydric poison) in a single action.

ah, "of projection", i was playing sunpal and forgot about it,
but when i was playing shadowblade, finding dagger of projection was a must, before i could shadow step everyone ;)

"of the fish", is not all that powerful, but it deny the hate of the water lvls.
belt of undeath also could be used there, but it has some interaction with the skills (while you wear it, you are undead)

I'm partial to alchemist egos. I enjoy being able to hit for half a dozen different elements on everything, and it absolutely wrecks bone shields.
I'm not crying. I'm offering a sacrifice to DarkGod in hopes he'll show favor to me.

It hasn't worked yet.

A bit offtopic but the old ToME 2 had Earthquake (not sure if that was the exact name) that literally broke and created walls in radius of around 5.

It was fun to play for a while but most of the time when a sentient weapon suddenly turned into earthquake weapon it meant ditching the weapon.

In current version I ran into an artifact that made your Obliterating Smash break walls. It sounds pretty badass. Haven't tried it yet but I remember feeling pretty powerful with that one STR prodigy that let you bash walls by smashing enemies into them.

Out of current proper egos alacrity seems interesting. So far I've only seen low tier alacrity pop up but at tier 5 it might have decent speed bonuses.
Stronk is a potent combatant with a terrifying appearance.

If you have the DLC, you can smash walls with melee crits if you attach a Wretch Titan to your weapon.

Hardened Voratun Plate Armor of the Dragon is an ego combo that's nearly as good as some artifacts.

I like burglar's alchemist's lamps. Not because they're good for stealth classes, but because their description says "A normal brass lantern, enhanced by alchemy to make it brighter", while they give you -7 light radius. Brighter indeed.
