Yay for keypads!

So after many years of laptops without keypads, which caused frustrating occasional attempts to play ToME (I just can't get the hang of rogue keyset when my fingers already know the standard one!), while looking for my next window into gaming, I finally ignored all laptops without keypads. So, finally, back! Not that I have the time on my hands that I used to...

My last playing was 2.3.3, I believe. So T4 will be interesting to dig into. Graphics, eh? Well, the Steam download is complete, I'd better go try it out!

I haven't played in a year, but I'm considering playing again after seeing some recent trailers. Can I ask you something...does the steam version still have the built in chat thing? Because I really liked that aspect of the game, almost made it feel multiplayer. Also what is up with this new expansion I heard about, have you tried it?

It should have the chat feature in the steam release. Unfortunately I haven't been able to get my account to hook up with it yet. Just figured out part of the problem - I already made an account a while back but not through steam, so in that case go to http://te4.org/user/ and login, then look for the Steam tab to add your steam account. I'm still having problems though, or maybe its just 'cause I'm using a char I made for the Steam game before I logged in with my t4 account so that char isn't in my t4 list...dunno. It'd be sad if I have to abandon my awesome lvl 6 Higher Arcane Blade...she's almost caught up to where her last incarnation died.

The Steam version does have in-game chat, but it's been down for a few days since the expansion release.
