Can't start new game! DLC Problem

I donated today and bought the new DLC Ashes of Urh'rok ingame and it worked fine. After that i decided to buy the DLC via steam too, to support the game. But now the game stucks when i start a new game. It loads to 100% but nothing happens.
I can load my old game (non DLC) but it is impossible to start new one.
Well in my Addon list that DLC is listed twice now.
What can I do to fix that? I tried to reinstall . . . didn't help.
When I deactivate the Addon, normal game starts.
I guess the problem is that the game loads the DLC twice.
Pls help me

Delete the ashes-urhrok.teaac file from the addons folder and leave the one that's in the dlc folder.

In Case somebody will have this problem too, I have to tell my experience.

But after that I couldn't login with steam, but I found a way to fix it.
I deleted all game files and the important thing was, that after uninstall with steam, the te4_log in SteamApps/common/Tales of Maj'Eyal still existed.
So when you have the same problem delete that textlog by yorself after uninstall.
Now I downloaded the game+DLC again and everything works fine.

Now I can play the awesome game again

For me, logging in with Steam is pretty random and a bunch of people are having issues with it. I'm pretty sure it's due to the server getting overloaded rather than the file location.

I don't have the DLC yet, but I'm still experiencing this issue and there is no ashes file to delete. When starting a new game, it loads to 100% then the screen just flickers and it never opens the character creation window.
