Blazing Vengeance: A class idea.

#1 Post by NemesisZeru »

Sorry it's a bit disorganized. A lot of stuff doesn't have set trees yet. They don't even have a solid name yet! I like Immolators, but naming them after one(admittedly thematic) talent seems iffy.

An idea for a fire-themed brawler, inspired by Embers of Gerylk. They'd likely be stamina/equilbrium.

I've basically given up on the whole coding thing(I'm awful at it, don't have the time to learn as I try to find a job, and I hate begging for help). So, uh, maybe this'll get popular enough that a far better coder then me will want to try and give it life.

Anyways, whatcha guys think so far? I'm envisioning them as heavy armored brawlers...a bit on the immobile side, but with strong staying power and brutal attacks. :P

Replies may be slow, since I haven't slept yet. Why? Because I'm dumb. :<

I really love what you've done with Magma! It reminds me a little of Mucus or a Ghoul's Retch, and Magma Armor sounds incredibly badass. The armor especially is very thematic and a creative use of the magma/ground tile mechanic!

I think Grayswandir brought the idea up originally. I was trying to figure out a secondary resource, and he suggested Equilibrium, with magma as an example. I ran with it. He helped with stuff like the idea for Heat Vents, too. C:

Thanks to Gray, Seb, and likely more I'm forgetting for the awesome ideas. x3

More changes!

-Added in Nature's Might, a wilder-themed replacement for Puglism.
-Moved Fever Heat to the 3rd tier of Blazing Assault.
-Moved Magma Slam to the 3rd tier of Magma. Renamed Volcanic Slam
-Added in Smoldering Zeal and Dragon's Breath.
-Removed Flame Whip, added Boiling Blood.

-Changing some wording to make fire damage vs. burning clearer.

So far, so good. If anyone wants to take up this project, that'd be amazing. I can do the basics and icons, but, well...I feel really guilty constantly pestering the irc for help, and I feel like it'd be better to just enlist some help from the get-go rather then bug them for every little thing, especially considering how I'm busy with job-hunting and the like.

If not, this'll always be here when I get more time, eh? Anyways, feel free to post any feedback and the like!
