I would like to create a mage-warrior gear set… something that would make a Light-based melee mage possible in the Archmage class. To that end, I propose this set:
Blinding Light Short-Staff: +25% Light damage, +20 spell power, +100 mana, +.2 to Phantasm category. (When set is complete, also gets +.1 phantasm category, +.3 mana regen per turn, +10% physical crit rate)
Sun Blessed Shield: +20% Light damage, +100 life, +.2 Celestial/Light category, +3 block, +8 armor, +10 defense, +15% fatigue. (When set is complete, gets +.1 to Celestial/Light category, and +25% heal mod, +10% spell crit rate)
Thoughts?

there is a topic dedicated to artifacts and ego ideas of all sorts...

go there instead of extending the list
also, I don't think its a good idea to make an archmage into a melee character.
phantasmal tree alone is not enough to carry you through the game.
Sun paladin however could probably make a good use of it.
With brandish and retribution, 2 big light nukes, he would make a good use of the +% light damage.

Not sure another light based shield is needed.
My feedback meter decays into coding. Give me feedback and I make mods.

I don't disagree… this post is superfluous as my other post garnered appropriate criticism of my reasoning. Thus, I'm reorganizing my approach to suggestions based on said criticisms.
